Start spreading the news .....

Soooo exciting, setting off on my World Tour.

Hi again,

Well I had a great night's sleep and was at Belfast International airport bright and early for my flight to New York.

Here's our plane. It was a lovely morning, but I was very nervous getting on my first flight. I got a nice seat. I couldn't sleep on the flight. I was too excited. We got some nice food and I watched a few movies.

When we got to New York, there was a big queue and we had to wait a good while to get through. We went to collect our bags. You're not supposed to take photos, but I snapped a quick selfie while we were waiting ..

We got a yellow taxi into town. It was great. I could watch all the cars and taxis and all the big tall buildings. It's really hot here. I was exhausted when we got to the hotel. It's a lovely hotel and I have a nice room - comfy bed. I was going to have a nap, but just did a quick check of my messages and voicemails first, as all my friends were calling. They're all excited too about my big trip !

My hotel is in Soho. It's a great district, very trendy ..

We went out for a little stroll, to check out the neighbouthood. Still really warm, but I had a great time. We found Citi Bikes. They're a bit like the Boris Bikes in London. You can just take them for a little cycle around. I took one for a ride - it was great !!


We didn't stay out too long coz I was really tired .. a bit jetlagged ..


I even had to sit down and have a rest on the pavement.

 Well that's it for my first day's adventures.

I'm having a ball in the Big Apple.
